Fort Myers Building and Zoning Oversight Committee (BZOC)

BZOC is responsible for the oversight of the Building & Zoning Enterprise Fund to assure that the department is well funded to meet the demand of permitting, inspections and plan review. Committee members are appointed by the Lee BIA, but all industry professionals are welcome to attend.

Lee BIA Government Affairs Committee

Advocacy to state and local policy makers on behalf of the industry is a critical component of the BIA mission. The Government Affairs Committee develops and executes association policy on local regulatory, legislative and government policy issues of impact to the building industry.

Lee BIA Membership Development Committee

The membership committee monitors all aspects of membership, including retention and renewals, new member recruitment and that the Lee BIA member experience exceeds expectations. Thank you to our Membership Ambassadors!

Lee County Building Industry Oversight Committee (BIOC)

BIOC is responsible for the oversight of the Building Department Enterprise Fund, to assure that the department is well funded to meet the demand of permitting, inspections and plan review. Committee members are appointed by the Lee BIA, but all industry professionals are welcome to attend.

Lee County Executive Regulatory Oversight Committee (EROC)

Purpose of EROC is to assess the impact of all new regulations on the local economy in accordance with the Economic Element of the Lee Plan.

Lee County Government Liaison Committee (LCGC)

Started over 27 years ago, and chaired by 2016 BIA President, Dan Beiter, the informal group allows the BIA members an opportunity to interact with Lee County and area Municipal Building Officials and the Health Department on current issues, concerns and suggestions affecting their day to day operations.

Political Action Committee Board of Directors (PAC)

The Political Action Committee Board of Directors is the governing body of the Political Action Committee. To belong to the Board you must be an Executive Level Political Action Committee Member.
